Every account you pay for, in one app.
Many developers have more than one plan, such as a work seat and a personal subscription, or a second account for when the first reaches its limit. Claude Code and Codex each keep one login at a time. Skipper keeps as many Claude and Codex accounts as you add, and you choose one for each session.
Add accounts
Add accounts in Settings under Agents, or choose Add Account… from the composer's account menu. Each agent lists the login its CLI already has on your Mac, and every account you add in Skipper.
- Subscription sign-in. Choose Sign In with Claude… or Sign
In with ChatGPT…. Skipper gives each account its own credential
home and points the CLI at it with
CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIRorCODEX_HOME, so accounts never overwrite each other's tokens or conversation history. The CLI keeps its own tokens, and Skipper keeps no copy. - API key. Skipper stores the key in your Keychain. If a key is already set in your shell environment, Skipper finds it and offers to add it.
- Azure OpenAI. Run Codex against your own Azure OpenAI deployment, billed to your Azure subscription.
Signing out keeps an account and its settings, so you can sign in again later without setting it up twice. Pause stops using an account without signing out, and Remove Account… forgets it.
Pi, OpenCode, and Antigravity run with the sign-in each keeps on your Mac.
See each plan's usage
Each subscription account shows how much of its plan you have used, read from the CLI's own usage report. Claude Code's report runs without a model turn. The meters show the 5-hour and weekly limits and when each one resets. When an account reaches a limit, its row in the account menu says so and when it resets, so you can start the next session on another account.
Usage appears in the composer's account menu, in the composer's More popover, on each running session, and in Settings. API keys bill per token, so they show no plan meters.
Choose an account for a session
The composer's account menu lists every account for every agent, with its usage beside it. Choosing an account also chooses its agent. Press ⌃⌘A to open the menu, and a number key to pick one of the first nine rows.
Skipper remembers your choice for each repository. Your first choice in a GitHub organization becomes the organization's default, and Choose Organizations… in Settings pins an account to the organizations you pick. New sessions use the repository's account, then the organization's, then the default you set in Settings.
Resume as the right account
A conversation's history lives with the account that started it. Skipper records that account and resumes the conversation as it, even after you change the repository's account. Recent Conversations groups your conversations by the account that started them.
To continue a Codex conversation from another account, put both accounts in a sharing group in Settings. Accounts in a group can resume each other's Codex conversations.
If someone signs in to an account's credential home as a different person, Skipper notices, stops launching sessions with that account, and offers to sign in again as the original login.
Works with the plans you have
Skipper does not resell model access. Each session runs the vendor's own CLI with your credentials, so your plan's limits and terms apply as they do in a terminal. See how sessions work and the terminal.
